Forget point spreads. Take your best guesses at outright upsets. Mine are:

1. Notre Dame over Michigan
2. Washington over Ohio St
3. Kentucky over Louisville
4. Arkansas over Alabama
5. Colorado over Florida St

Notre Dame and Michigan has sadly become a 'who cares' game. Shocking, I know.

Washington over Ohio St could happen--Washington has been playing well this season thus far--but I don't think it does.

I'm not sure how Kentucky is doing, but that would be an upset.

Not sure what Arkansas and Alabama are doing this year.

Would #5 even be an upset? Florida State sucks this year. Granted, I know nothing of what Colorado is doing thus far.

Nothing's jumping out at me as an upset. I think Tennessee actually has a shot, but I believe Florida will win at home. Oh, I forgot, Penn State is going to lose to Buffalo........not! ;)

I have Kentucky over Louisville

UNLV over Hawaii Rainbows favored by 17. Runnin' Rebs straight up. They gave Wisconsin a scare up in Cheeseland.

Utah over UCLA

Nebraska over USC.

Boston College over Ga. Tech

Nick Saban inherited a 9 win team, but I don't think this is one of those wins.

Kentucky is the sleeper pick in the SEC this year. Coach Rich Brooks , ex NFL HC, has been building for 3 years. He has the #1 QB in the country, Andre Woodson.

I'll give you credit...with the exception of the last one, those are all ballsy, bold predictions. I could only dream that Utah could beat UCLA to help out Penn State! I'd rather USC take down Nebraska right now, but I wouldn't complain if they toppled USC either, although I HATE Nebraska.

I think all of those predictions are wrong. :)

....and that is why college ball is fun and people love to wager on those outcomes. :D

BTW, those are possibilities, not predictions. I am giving those teams a chance. I did pick them with the point spread.

So far Washington is playing well, but Notre Dame is absolutely done. If it wasn't for Notre Dame's cake walk schedule in November, this could easily be a winless season for them.

Nice calls, Wally, particularly the Utah one over UCLA.

If you walk on the side of the road, you are less likely to get run over than if you walk down the middle of the road.... or something like that. :biglaugh:

Mountain west seems to be doing well against the pac.
Playing four games against Karl Dorrell and Mike Stoops tend to inflate anyone's stats.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the train wreck in Tucson yet. Eight years after the debacle in Happy Valley and Arizona is still recovering. What a nightmare.

I really thought that Stoops would be able to get things turned around down there. I guess that will be up to someone else before to long?

Yeah, I'm guessing five wins or he's done which means 4-5 in the Pac-10. Not going to happen.

It really is a mess down in Tucson. I'll go into more detail at a later point.
