I went 3 and 3 last week, still chasing Wally's 3-0 of the previous week. aj was 1-0 and if there were others, I don't remember them. Here goes:

1. South Florida over West Virginia
2. Alabama over Florida St. (lock pick)
3. Michigan St. over Wisconsin (lock pick)
4. Georgia Tech over Clemson
5. Notre Dame over Purdue

No comments like "I don't consider that an upset," please. I go by the published point spreads.

That's what fans do. Realistically, I'm just hoping they don't lose by more than 30. Purdue is so good, I think they come in 2nd in the Big 11, behind Ohio State.

LVCard, as far as I'm concerned, the West-by-God/South Florida game is the most interesting game this week. Can't wait.

Who would have thought, even five years ago, that these two teams would be so highly regarded, to merit a national telecast? And one that will draw a lot of viewers. I know I'll be watching.

Yeah I am stoked. One thing the Big east did immediatly after the departure of VaTech, BC, Miami to the ACC was sign a deal with ESPN that would give them national exposure.

The ESPN deal calls for a certain number of BE games each year to be broadcast by ESPN. ESPN picks the matchups and the days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). A lot of critics, at first, were concerned that this would handicap the better teams in the BE by putting them into multiple "short week" situations. But it has turned out to be avery good deal for both sides. The BE, the doormat a few years ago, is arguably in the top2-3 conferences right now. The Louiville's, WVU's, Rutgers, and now USF get national exposure and ESPN gets to fill the dreaded Thursday/Friday night football slots.

Now, if the unthinkable happens and WVU losses, I will blame it on the shrt week! :)

Wally, sorry, try again. Both FSU and Oregon are listed as favorites in all the published spreads I've seen. Of your three picks, only Michigan State is an underdog.

Ain't it amazing. The odds setters don't pay attention to the rankers.

Alabama is ranked and FSU is not.

Cal is ranked 6th and Oregon is 15th.

Wisconsin is #9 and MSU unranked.

I am quite positive South Florida will beat the spread against WVU.
