On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Earthlock: Festival of Magic ($29.99 ERP) for free during the month of September. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China ($9.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from September 16th to October 15th.

On Xbox 360, starting Thursday, September 1st, Forza Horizon ($19.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through September 15th. Then on September 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Mirror’s Edge ($14.99 ERP) for free through September 30th.

Forza hroizon is a more arcade version of Forza. Mirrors edge is a kinda cool first person game that uses a lot of parkour feel.

All meh for me. Earthlock is a brand new RPG game, assassins creed is assassins creed.

Meh. I always though Assassin's Creed Chronicles games were short versions of the full games or even just add-ons. The price point would justify that.

Mirror's Edge is a pretty cool game.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles are completely different from the normal Assassin's Creed games... they're side scrollers where you're trying to get to the end of a level while avoiding being detected. I already have China... it was a decent game, but it didn't make me run out to buy the rest of them. For free, it's worth a play.

Forza Horizon was my 2nd favorite racing game on the 360 (1st was Burnout Paradise). It's an open-world driving game with an arcade style. I know BRR hates open world driving games, but this one is definitely worth playing.

Burnout revenge and midnight club 2 are my fav 360 racing games. Nothing on xbox one has been my style yet.

Burnout Revenge was really good too... it would be in my top 5. I do like the technical Forza games also... even though they get really, really repetitive.

It's a short game, but I really like Dirt Showdown on Xbox One. It's not the most elegant of racing games, but the challenges are fun.

i dont think i have it but offroad dirt racing games are usually pretty fun. It sounds familiar so i may have it already. There was an old dirt racing game I absolutely loved but i cant remember the title...maybe ATV offroad fury? either way it was awesome.


I wonder is road rash will ever make a comeback?

Dirt Showdown was a free Game With Gold a while ago. I played Dirt 3 when that was free & I didn't like it that much. It was really hard to control the car & then there was a lot of focus on trick driving. Maybe Showdown is better.

Dirt Showdown does have a course or two that relies on doing tricks like drifts or what not, but some of the courses are pretty fun, like you're on a giant platform and you have to ram cars to knock them off the platform, or have a street race where after every 10 seconds, the driver in last place gets eliminated. Fun stuff. I tried Dirt 3 as well and didn't like it.

Good call on Dirt Showdown... I like it a lot better than Dirt 3. The addition of Demolition Derby gametypes makes it a lot more fun.

I just finished Earthlock: Festival of Magic & it was pretty good. It's very similar to the old Final Fantasy games where you have turn based combat & multiple people in your party with different kinds of attacks. It was pretty fun overall & the bosses can be very challenging until you figure out the right strategy. It took me just under 40 hours to beat & I spent a good amount of extra time (maybe 10 hrs) trying to get all of the achievements so it could take a lot less time if you don't care about those.
