SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) -- Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson and Yao Ming are among the first-time candidates on the ballot for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

O'Neal and Iverson for sure. Yao is a tough call, but I'd lean No. Depends on how much he did before he came to the NBA, which I don't know much about.
