i think what he's saying is that he's not that useless yet for his age. given the opportunity, he'll still get it done somehow (i mean, statistically, he's a 50+% fg shooter). so when his production is low, it's not because he's old (well, that's one part of it) but rather he didn't get the touches...

(although deep inside, i know he meant it the other way a little bit too, you know, like a hint or something)
