I believe if you lead your division, you automatically get a better seeding.

Division winners are automatically a top 4 seed, however that doesn't mean they get home court advantage. That's still based on record.

I think the Suns announcers said it was one of the trainers that was the only one willing to stand in there and take the hit.

Edit: Actually it was Noel Gillespie, the Suns video coordinator......that guy is either stupid or really wanted to get on TV.
