Sheffield Wednesday players have been told they will receive their full wages by Christmas after only getting a percentage of their November salaries. Owls players held talks with the club's financial director John Redgate via Zoom on Thursday after it emerged they are still waiting for some of their pay. Failure to pay players in full has come with the club bottom of the Championship and on a run of four straight defeats. They have incurred a six-point deduction this season for breaching spending rules. They have not won a match since Pulis took charge five weeks ago, with their last victory coming at the start of November when they defeated Bournemouth during the final days of Garry Monk’s reign. "I came up here to try and get results to push the club forward and to have a good look at the place and see how it is run and see what makes the place tick,” he said. "Yes, these problems don't help but I am a football man. I am not concerned about anything else other than getting the team prepared."
