There is no team out there that is willing to give us a 2nd rounder for Shelton IMO, if there was we would have done it already.

So I ask this question.

What deal is better:

Shelton for a 3rd rounder and our draft looks like this:

1st round - Benson
2nd round - CB
3rd round - BPA
3rd round - BPA
3rd round - BPA

Or

Shelton for Henry and swap 2nd rounders only dropping 11 spots and our draft looks like this:

RB - Travis Henry
1st round - Rolle/Pacman/Jones/(maybe even DJ for you DJ fans)
2nd round - BPA(CB if you like DJ inthe first)
3rd round - BPA
3rd round - BPA

And no keep him isnt an option, you have to vote for one or the other.

Edit - I am not saying we should give in to there demands beucae I think when push comes to shove the deal will get done somehow. Just thinking out loud what the options are if we did make the trade according to what is on the table right now.

Sorry kinda torn... can't really vote due to the fact that if we switch picks in the second, then I think the bills need to throw in an extra late round pick. Otherwise I would have no problem keeping LJ and drafting a back in the first or second.

Need an option Henry for Shelton stright up

Nope.

I am asking the question between 2 choices if it came down to it.

The question is if Buffalo is really that dead set about the swap and wont do it no matter what, compared to the only other option we have what is the better choice. Thats the scenerio.

And keeping LJ isnt one becuase it wont happen.

Third rounder.

Then trade down in the first if Rolle is gone and get Justin Miller in the middle of the first and get more draft picks as well.

Picks w/out counting what we'd get for trading down:

1. CB Justin Miller
2. RB J.J. Arrington
3. QB Andrew Walter
3. CB Antonio Perkins
3. TE Kevin Everett
4. OG Chris K.
5. DT Anthony Bryant
7. OG Scott Young

I like Shelton for a 3rd better, but I wouldn't necessarily be married to your Benson pick at #8.

Swap for a 3rd.

1st.-- Rolle - Pacman- Jones or DJ

2nd -- JJ or the pick of 3 or 4 other very good backs or CB if you take DJ

3rd -- BPA

3rd -- BPA

3rd -- BPA

I guess I just like the idea of getting an established player more then I do in getting a 3rd round rookie.

Is the talent level at #44 really that much of a difference at #55?

I wouldnt be mad with a 3rd round pick. Just think the other deal is a better one.

You are probably thinking the right way but I don't want to be the same old Cards and get hosed again. There's a new Sheriff in town and the sooner everyone knows it the better. I want R-E-S-P-E-C-T
