Hey guys I like the 360 but i've had it with the problems it has caused me I just had my 8th 360 stop working on me the problem occured when I was playing nba 2k8 and it froze now the cd trey just keeps opening up by itself... I'm seriously consdering just dumping 360 and buying a ps3 just ticked off right now i'm in the mood to play 360 but can't!

Wow. 8! I gave up after 1 died on me. Picked up a PS3, and looking at the lineup on its way this year + free online + blu ray + home, etc, I couldn't be happier.

I got a brand new 360 from MS and decided to just take a loss and sell it with about 6 games. At first I was a little upset about getting rid of the 360. But give yourself a month with the PS3 and you'll probably become a convert like me.

Wow. I think your officially the unluckiest 360 owner. I have 2 360's with never one issue. I know at least 4 of my friends that have had them with only 1 person needing to return his.

Geez, you are unlucky as hell. I got one of the launch 360s and live with 4 other people, so that thing has been played pretty much nonstop since it came out. Where are you keeping yours? Is it surrounded by something so that it can't get heat out or is it just out in the open and getting too much dust? I have a PS3 also, and for the games that I play on that I couldn't be happier. Like everyone else said, with the games coming out this year I think you will be pretty happy with a PS3.

Well my 360 is in warrenty for another year so I decided to call and get microsoft to send me a box for repair again... hopefully this will be the last one I send in till my next system. I am still consdering getting a ps3 though would be nice to have both systems just incase one breaks . Also by the way birdman i'm keeping my 360 system in a safe place on a gaming desk type thing where it should be safe i'm not sure what is going on maybe i'm playing it to much lol who knows...

Where is your power brick? Do not place it on carpet. The 360, AND the power brick need to be in a well ventilated place.

Which is why I am asking about the power brick. Maybe there is something in the enviroment that is causing this. Boldin, Is your 360 vertical or horizontal?

There is a simple solution. Just get rid of the Xbox 360 and buy the PS3.

Ive had my 360 since launch, love the crap out of it.

I use to be a playstation fanboy, not fond of the new machine, its cool but i see no reason to buy it when I already have t he better online console.

I love how people mention free, everything on sony online sucks, the mics suck, the lag sucks, it drives me insane, $50 a year is chump change for great service.
