Plot Summary: In "Sicario: Day of the Soldado," the series begins a new chapter. In the drug war, there are no rules – and as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was murdered by a cartel kingpin, to escalate the war in nefarious ways. Alejandro kidnaps the kingpin’s daughter to inflame the conflict – but when the girl is seen as collateral damage, her fate will come between the two men as they question everything they are fighting for.

Saw it opening night. This was a major disappointment. The premise was nice, with the soundtrack dovetailing nicely with the gritty story...and then it all goes off the rails and falls to pieces. This is beside the fact that the premise was flawed--dude has NO problem killing innocent children of drug dealers.

That's actually a pretty normal thing killing kids and families

I think he's saying that, but the problem in this one is Benicio has a weird change of heart and decides to save the kid whereas he just shot others in the head in the first one.

I liked it but there's no way
that the teenager would have ever noticed that Benecio was the guy from the parking lot in that lighting, through a window, with a disguise, etc. They should have had something more believable. And then , the shooting of him would have made sense to double tap him in the head instead of the one shot. Just lazy but it wouldn't have allowed him to live.
