Tomorrow they call up Robby Hammock and Scott Hairston.
My prediction -- if Robby plays decently and gets to ST, they'll make him the back-up utility player -- he plays every position except pitcher, hits decently and with a little power, and as a legit back-up catcher, he's way over guys like Andy Green.
He is an intense manager who takes his job very seriously and is always looking for a way to get better. He is a good guy that works hard but isn't affraid to tell it like it is and be hard on a guy if its necessary.RedStripe27 said:What's Hale's personality like as a manager? I like his record and reputation but know very little about him otherwise.

Melvin needs to go. He can't be demoted and be effective within this organization.RedStripe27 said:Well then I think he should be promoted to the big leagues along with the rest of the youngsters and demote Melvin to Tucson. This guy seems to get the most out of his players not to mention he is familiar with most of our young guys. I'll say it right now: Chip Hale in '07!
Bob "Butthead" Melvin has found his. The Diamondbacks settled on him after the Wally Backman fiasco. It's time to move on.In a heirarchy, every employee rises to his level of incompetence.
