We all know this team need to sign a big to take Amare's spot, it is going to be hard to replace his absence, they can try and beat up on under .500 teams but it is not going to happen with the elite ones.
The players, especially the veterans will be gassed most nights and they will be playing tired come playoffs even if they get there.
It is delusional to think they can actually make any impact in the post-season with our current line-up.This team is no contender, more like an entertaining pretender.

If the FO cant sign a decent big, why not just sit the starters and go tank mode. I don't follow college hoops much but surely we should be able advance a little in the draft enough to get a decent backup PG or one for the future.

I like the return to the entertaining SSOL but it is a short time fix and a little too late in the season to think the player will return to running form before the playoffs.

What do you guys think?

The Suns are just 4 games out from the 4th seed in the Western conference. It's not time to tank.

apparently mikki moore got several offers and is announcing his decision today.
If we don't have him then we are SCREWED against winning teams.
Courtney Sims has the size, but not the skill, that's why he is in D League.

how well does Sims really play? I know he is pretty good in D-League but he has no NBA experience.

If the Suns are counting on Sims coming to the rescue, they'd probably be better off tanking the season. The Suns should give the 13th roster position to someone who brings some to the table like Joe Smith or possibly Antoine Walker. The Suns need to take a risk at this stage of the season.

If you want to see this team blown up in the offseason and suffer through a lottery season, then tank.

A playoff appearence would lighten the blow of the luxury tax for ownership

Sadly, the Suns may not make the playoffs in any regards. This team will probably crash and burn in the off season anyway. I was just hoping for a controlled crash by making some moves before the past trading deadline that would give the Suns some hope for the future.

Joe Smith would be perfect, even when Amare comes back for a playoff run.

A news said Mikki Moore has decided to accept an offer from Boston. He is gone.

Joe Smith reported never wanted a buy-out. The whole thing is a media madeup rumor.

Antoine Walker, I'm not sure ... First of all, this guy is very talent, very experienced, played alongside Shaq and win a championship, at 33, not really too old. But he is a big head case when get loss. He was waived in Dec but remain jobless until now. His conditioning is a big concern. If he is eager to resume his career and concerntrate on proving himself again, might be useful.

I guess the best argument for Antoine Walker is that he used to be a good player. That's probably more than can be said for a lot of other players out there. I definitely am not pushing Walker but it appears the Suns do not have many other options right now.

Mr. SArVER probably would just do nothing to SAVE his money ... Boston is getting Moore mainly because their GM is FREE TO SPEND. Not to mention The Cavs and the Lakers are both having a payroll much higher than us. So, we are not as talent as those teams.

Suns don't need to pick up a Moore. They can just play Amundson, Moore is garbage. I hope they just play ball because we aren't winning anything why add more players for a hopeless season.

Amundson is a solid bench player for us, but he is still not mature enough, especially foul prone. There are 96 minutes to fill at 4+5 while we only have 2 men. At the very best, Amundson can cover 20-25. We can't count on Hill and Barnes to fill the 4 every night.

Tank it, its time to develop players. this roster is about to be crushed, demoralized on the backboards, they just dont have any size outside shaq. Running with a terrible bench and 3 rotation guys over 35 years old makes no sense at all, none. Gentry will probably be let go and amare gone in the offseason. Now is time to rebuild, say goodbye to playoff basketball for 5-7 years( a little longer since we sold a few #1's).

Pretty sure that we don't own our draft pick this year... or next for that matter...

Moore is gone, he has already accepted the offer from Boston.

There is no any rumor about Walker, but he is actually the most service ready PF free agency after Moore.

There are a lot of reports about Horry though. A couple of teams are considering him, especially the Cavs. He's already 39, I don't think he has anything left.

I thought DUI is a tradition in Phoenix? Barkley and J.Rich ... I was just hoping Walker still has 70% of his game and willing to work hard for a new job. Maybe just my wishful thinking.

With the success we've had in recent drafts I say plug in Lou and Dudley and run till the wheels fall off.

Say no to 'toine and I still hate Horry's guts ever since his Houston days, the towel to the face and the dirty hit on Steve.

Dudley is only 6-7, he'll be overpowered by most of real bigs. His rebound rate is too low, he can't handle the ball or create shots. He can only get minutes when we go ultra small for a short period of time. Come on, we need a big.
