If CP takes more time to recover Jay can step in and sling it for BA.

NOT!!!
That dude doesn't have what it takes to fit into BAs team concept
Jay's QB rating tonight in the middle of the 2nd quarter was 0.0, matching Bluto's grade point average.
Nothing about Cutler even hints at "winner."
Same was said about Carson before coming here. Cutler actually has a higher career winning percentage. Palmer quit on his team and an entire franchise hates him. Don't be a prisoner of the moment.
Coaching matters.

“A leader is born from the heart. Leaders don’t lead from talent. When you watch him, there’s nothing that speaks leadership. There’s no way he is the leader of this team. ... You don’t duck your head every time you throw an incomplete pass. If I’m going down with the ship, I’m not going down like that.”
“He keeps hanging around because the league still is enamored with their old-school quarterback evaluation of height, weight, arm strength. It creates this long leash for this guy. It creates this wow factor. You go, 'Oh my God, if I can get him to do that, I can get the best quarterback in the league.'”
You look at Cutler, he’s been with a bunch of different coaches and the results have been pretty similar," Gannon told "The Mully and Hanley Show" on WSCR-AM (670) on Monday. "This guy, in my opinion, has flat-lined. I don’t see the upside right now in Jay Cutler. You look at the numbers and say, what are they? They’re very mediocre, very average numbers.
"It's not so much his completion percentage, touchdown/interception ratio. It's his ability to lead and take a team to the finish line, and he hasn't shown he can do that throughout the course of his career
Ray Lewis on Cutler...
Trent Dilfer on Cutler...
Rich Gannon on Cutler...
mccown got benched this yearAfter watching Cutler get outplayed by backup Josh McCown the Bears gave Cutler a massive contract with $54 million guaranteed. The Bears paid the wrong quarterback and now they are stuck with him.

I especially agree with Ray Lewis on this one. Cutler shows negative body language after every bad throw or mistake by his team mates. I can't see why any player would want to run through walls for him and that's what you need a QB to instill in his supporting cast.Outstanding post.
How about keep Stanton as Palmer's backup.
