The heck with Mackovicka. Tell Bush he's the backup FB, and bring back Larry Centers. Feel-good story of the season, and a still-effective 3rd-down receiver to boot. Pretty good on blitz pick-up too, as I recall.

Yeah, I'm serious. I'd *love* to see Centers retire a Cardinal.

Makovicka is a Husker, and I'm automatically completely biased towards him. It's a problem that I'm working on.

The backup FB is already on the roster. He's listed as the 4th TE and goes by the name of Lorenzo Diamond. He's already got a FB number - 49.

Section 11, Makovicka was IMO, the weakest link of our 22 starters - possibly the worst blocking FB in the NFL. I really hope we look to Diamond but McGinnis has a bad habit of brining back proven failures.
