Yeah he has a dump philosophy. It's not who has the best statistical year. It's who is the most valuable. He has AI at second when his team is garbage. I'm not sure that team is better off w/out him hogging the ball and jacking up trash.

I don't think he's watched many Suns games. Nash can pass, penetrate, shoot and has hit some clutch shots this year. The definition of any MVP is that he makes his teamates better. Lebron and AI aren't there yet. Nowitzki is having a good year, but he has an enormous amount of talent around him and that team is way over the cap.

Miami was expected to make the playoffs before Shaq was there. The Suns weren't. They now lead the league in wins and have the best record. They are on pace to set the biggest PPG scoring differential in history. Nash may have revitalized the league and brought back the 80s showtime.

Do I think we'd be just as good with Kidd or Bibby on our team? No... Kidd can't shoot, which is what you need with our game...as for Bibby, never felt he brought the ball down as quickly as Nash..although, ironically, he'd probably be the second best fit for our team and he is a lot younger...

I'd prefer Hinrich in the long term than Bibby.

I don't think the Suns would be as good with Bibby or Kidd.

Other than that I can't argue too much with his list.

Some of the quotes are priceless.

If the NBA was a roto league, the other owners would have sent Isiah Thomas the "Hey, no offense, but maybe you should bring a partner next season" e-mail by now.

:biglaugh:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one, but thanks to his ongoing blog on NBA.com we could finally have an answer to the question, "What would it be like if one our friends was an NBA player and sent us e-mails about his life every few days?"

One mitigating factor: David Stern, who could morph into the warden in Shawshank over this one. I could even see this exchange happening outside the commissioner's office one night ...

– Stern: "So you're telling me that you're going to continue doing this blog, and you're going to continue to be as candid as possible?"

– Shirley: "Yessir, that's all I ever wanted, just give me that chance."

– Stern (taking one last puff from a cigarette): "That's what I thought."

(He puts out his cigarette and walks away, then Shirley is quickly gunned down by Dick Bavetta from a fifth-story window.)

That's probably the WORST argument I've ever read so far.

Ok, so he doesn't like Nash and he thinks Nash doesn't deserve it ONLY because ANY decent PG can replace him (like Kidd/Bibby) and Suns will have the same record-breaking year? Mmmm, if he is THAT RIGHT about Nash, then how come NOBODY thinks (even Suns' management in the beginning of the season) we would have a 50W+ year and sit at the freaking #1 spot right now? If EVERYBODY thinks ANY decent PG can run the show that Nash is running, then how come nobody rates Suns as a playoff team before the season starts when we already who the starters are? Everybody was just guessing Suns "may" get to the playoff but we all know that's NOT true - FAR FROM IT!!!!!

What's true is Nash brought the best leadership we can find in the league. Nash won't beat you with his stats but he offers almost everything else. He can shoot, pass, penetrate and lead the team. Yes, Nash isn't the best defender but we all know our weakest defense is in Defensive Rebound which should lie on our big guys like Amare/Marion or even Q/Hunter. If we need Nash to get lots of rebound to win games, then we are in SERIOUS trouble.

And one last point, when you make an agrument, DON'T EVER EVER EVER EVER give "what if" statements. "Oh, if Bibby/Kidd is on the team, Suns will be #1 anyway". Sounds like this guy hasn't taken any debating class.

All the MVP awards are given to the Top 3 teams in the league. AI is great statistically but his team is on the verge of losing the 8th spot! If you ask any decent Philly fan, they will tell you that they would rather have Nash than AI, trust me!

The only one I agree is Dirk, only because he is the only go-to guy on that team and even though Mavs has lots of talents, they haven't really gel. The chemistry is still not that great.

That guy must haven't watched many NBA games....

Iverson as #2 is a joke. That just lets you know this guy's mentality. Nice fun article, that's all.
