If Skelton is out for at least a few weeks, all these threads are whacked about who should start IMO. Me personally, I'm out of here man, have fun with that awesome age old (pointless if Skelton is injured) debate. This thread cracks me up.This probably deserves its own thread/poll, but if Skelton is back sooner rather than later, does Kolb deserve his own hurry up package like Warner in 2007?

I'll talk Skelton job when Skelton is cleared, and until then I'll just wait and hope for him to get cleared bro.I wasn't asking you should start... I was asking if Skelton is healthy in the next game or two, and doesn't lose his job to injury, would you be in favor of Whiz implementing a special hurry up package for Kolb while Skelton remains the starter? Wasn't saying I would, but it is something that Whiz did not dismiss after naming Skelton the starter - so it's a valid question/debate.

I don't think it has to be the hurry-up necessarily, but he should be primarily in the shotgun. As far as running the ball, it can be run quite effectively out of the gun.If Kolb is playing, you need to let him run a hurry up type of package. It just suits him. You put your team in the best situation to succeed.
The way he lying there and his teammates consoling him made me think he broke a leg.
I have to call him out. You don't lay there and get carted off the field for an ankle sprain. I like Skelton but that was a girly-man move. At OSU, I saw Bobby Carpenter break his ankle and run off the field. Of course, he may have been in a steroid induced rage at the time, but still. I guarantee his teammates will be ribbing him all week for only having a sprain.
I'm a Skelton fan but Kolb deserves to start as he lit a fire under the Cardinals to get the win. As far as I'm concerned let them duke it out on the field until the Cardinals get a clear cut starting QB. I don't think the Cardinals are ready to commit to a clear cut starter until the QB competition is settled... and I believe it is not.
Skelton looked every bit the part of a starter in the 1st half. Not so much in the 2nd. Then Kolb looked every bit the part in his drive. Tough decision to make. I am very encouraged by the pass protection yesterday though. Considering 2 were back-ups for the already terrible players, I assumed it was gonna be much uglier than it was. Nice to see the QBs may actually get a chance to do their jobsI believe you are right. For the sake of the team, they had to name a starter before the season and it more suited Skelton from his preseason play and record from last year. Kolb would have been in a uncomfortable position to be named the starter from his past play and the way things turned out, his recent chance then worked well for his situation. But yes, I still do not think anyone knows who is the true starter.
GREAT question---the thing is, as evidenced by 6 come from behind wins under his belt---the hurry-up is Skelton's bread and butter too.
The Cardinals' conventional offense is QB unfriendly---it's too calculated and exacting---and it DOESN'T SUIT any of our QBs.
