I'm trying to keep this real simple - I'll also post this in the Czars forum.

This will be a very important season for us.

We are saving SP at the low lvls. because as we get higher up they are harder to come.

I Might be stating the obvious but just treat this as an FYI: This season is not about wins or losses. It's about taking time with your build for the future.

The true slow build line is to get the first major attribute to the second cap with training and skill points.

When you can reach the 2nd cap point with your already trained time plus your saved SP then do it.

Just remember after the first cap of 48.07 you are going to need two SP to bring up an attribute by one point....so you need to save little more.

On the second major tribute - just take it to the first cap.

JUST TO RECAP:

Don't spend any until you reach the second cap(60.52) for your first major stat. Then save again until you reach AT LEAST the first cap(48.07)

Let me know if I'm not being clear on this.

2nd policy - DO NOT BOOST.

....we're trying to get to at least level 24 to maximize training.

3rd policy - DO NOT put any points into your special abilities.

These will have no affect on your player until your about lvl. 20 The only way to put any points there is to at least reach the 3rd cap.

Really best if two majors are at 3rd cap.

If you have already done so, no biggie....but just stop. It just comes down to wasting these early skill points that are so important in the early stages of slow building process.

Thanks for everyone's commitment to the teams slow build process.

Let me know if I'm not being clear on this.

I've read it four times, and I still don't get it.

Are you saying that we should not spend skill points (or train) anything other than our main stat until it reaches 48? Then use all skill points and training to raise our secondary stat up to 48?

No. That's also an option - a third way...but not as effecient.

What I'm saying is focus on 1 major attribute and take it to the secondary cap (60)...then rinse and repeat for your next major.

What we're doing is called Soft-Cap Focused Slowbuilding. The concept is to hit the Soft-cap ASAP regardless of how high the specific attribute has been trained....in our case the magic number is 60.

This form of building allows a player to maximize the leveling bonus.

Each position has several majors and minor attributes - to find yours look here: http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Major_and_Minor_Attributes

The early part of our players development generates the most bonus SPs when leveling up....Up to level 21.

Thats the stage you need to jump on early to maximize the benefits of the SPs into your 1st major and Second Major stat.

The key thing is that from lvel 1 through 21, yer given 2 bonus points split amongst all major attributes, and 1 point split amongst minor skills everytime you level up.

You want to hit that 60 asap...say by level 8 to continue to get those 2 bonus points on future level ups ...so that attribute will go 62...64...66...while you work on the second attribute to 60.

So, for example: Get my kicker's kicking up to 60 first, then his confidence up to 60 before thinking about any other stat?

As for training, we should stick to applying training focus to the single stat, instead of hitting two stats at once?

Yes.

Nothing wrong training 2 stats and building up those bonus tokens.

BTW - yer gonna be shocked how fast yer kicker is gonna hit 60. They get XP based off FGs.

I'm setting 4th down to be 50% FG/50% punt anywhere on the field.

Jug you made perfect sense. Ken is just a little slow.

On the other hand are we to be training on normal concentrating on one attribute? Or Intense where it does two attributes at once?

I am training intense and accumulating bonus tokens. Buy whatever piece of AEQ now and trade them in for much better ones later on.

Equipment fund has been updated.

Everyone has enough cash to draw from to take care of equipment needs.

I recommend that everyone simply invest into stamina for this season to maximize their playing time.

End of next season we'll completely redo everyone's gear.

Same for custom or should we hold off on custom?

I spent my opening SP before I knew Jug would let me back on the team. Should I start over?

What color equipment?

If you got the flex to start over - then go for it. But otherwise - start saving now.

Let me know what you want.

I won't be able to release yer LBer for about 4 days per glb policy.

Shamgod will need a couple more days to get my speed to 60. Right now, he has 45 skill points and if I dump it all in there, he'll be at 58.98. So I want to make sure I don't waste any training.

Then I will go for Agility, then Vision.

I miscalculated on my secondary attribute, it ended up 47.53 instead of 48.

As it stands, my kicking is at 61 (75 overall with gear) and my strength is 47.53. It'll be one more training session until strength gets up to 48.

Do I continue on to a different stat now?

I hope someday my LBer will start to get a tackle in a game. Just one tackle is that much to ask? Stat lines with only missed tackles, the wrong end of pancakes and passes defended are depressing. :)
