Not sure which forum to put this in, but read this today:

So... you want some cool news to make the end of your week a happy one? This should do nicely then: Universal has just officially announced the DVD release of Saturday Night Live 1975-1976: The Complete First Season for 12/5! The 8-disc set (SRP $69.98) will include all 24 90-minute episodes complete with their original hosts and all the original musical guests. You also get a 32-page book of liner notes and rare case photos. I'll tell you, we were wondering if this would EVER happen. How cool will it be to be able to go back and enjoy vintage SNL just as it was originally broadcast? Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman. Can you imagine? Frickin' awesome, man. AWESOME!

Finally!

It's a TV show...doesn't it make sense to go in there?

Pretty cool news.

I see...guess we need to change the description...

The description is fine. The TV forum came to be because people wanting to talk about TV shows, current or in general, didn't want to look through movie/DVD threads.

What for? It could fit in either forum, I'm wondering why it's such a big deal...

It's not a big deal, just something I was thinking about...

We try to keep both forums organized and on topic so people can search easier down the road. If someone searches for SNL in the TV forum, they wont find it.

Just me being anal I guess...no worries.

No, that's cool. That's why in the original post I put down that I didn't know which forum to put it in. It was a DVD, so I stuck it here, because as far as I know, there haven't been any TV DVD threads in the TV forum other than the pimping Lost forum for Bada. :D

How's about anything that deals with a tv show goes in the tv forum and likewise with movies.

If its a tv show that turns into a movie, it's still a movie.

DVD of a tv show = tv forum

There will still be grey area, but at least we can go from here

1) I didn't even realize that the first season wasn't available in it's entirety--seems like that should have been done a long time ago.

2) I don't understand the argument for this being in Movies and Entertainment. Yes, it's entertainment, but so is a TV show. And, it's a DVD...of a TV show.
