Looks like a kick-ass movie. I used to loathe Stewart (she did Twi-crap, after all), but she did a great job in the Runaways. Throw in Hemsworth, McShane, Hoskins and Theron, and it looks a solid cast too.

The very notion that Stewart is hotter than Theron is ********. Other than that it looks good.

I think K-Stew is extremely hot, however annoying some of her mannerisms are. (Side note, this video is pretty funny)

I used to think Charlize was one of the most beautiful women ever, but she kinda traumatized me in Monster. That image is forever seared on my brainz, which probably means she gave a terrific performance, but still.... (I'm sure I could find a way to get over it if in a zillion years I ever had a chance with her)

Either way, this looks 100x better than the Julia Roberts version that is also coming out.

Plot Summary: In the epic action-adventure "Snow White and the Huntsman," Kristen Stewart ("Twilight") plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, "Thor") who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin ("Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides") joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of "Alice in Wonderland," producer Sam Mercer ("The Sixth Sense") and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

We enjoyed it. Especially liked the effects and the world in which the film takes place. Charlize was really good. (The first person rumored to be the evil queen was...Winona Ryder. So glad that didn't happen.)

An advance screening at the Tempe Marketplace last night. My wife won admittance for two on facebook. It was pretty cool. Long line of people with the regular "Admit 2" screening passes, but because of how she won hers our name was on a list. We stood off to the side with some others and were the first people let in to the theater after they checked our name off the list after matching it with our printed email verification.

We regularly get the free passes to advance screenings but those require you to get there early to guarantee a seat because they produce more passes than there are seats, expecting that many will not get used.

I enjoyed this movie quite a lot. Very gritty and realistic, as much as a fairy tale can be. I did not appreciate the fact that Charlize Thieron (sp?) felt the need to scream at the top of her lungs every five seconds, but other than that, I loved it.

Depending on the context by which she is screaming, it might not be such a bad thing. ;)

Christine Stewart is the female version of Keanu Reeves...

Very good movie! The Troll and Sanctuary were great! Loved the costumes as well!

I liked it a lot. My favorite part was when William caught the arrow in flight, nocked it and shot the dude with both arrows, then says "I said, do you need an archer?"

Badass.

I read one review that said this movie shows she has learned how to have more than one facial expression during her acting. Is this true?

She actually had to give an inspirational speech to hundreds and lead them into battle in this movie. So technically yes. But I'm not gonna say she did a great job :D

Figured as much. The review also said Theron is hotter (fairer) which I believe is probably true too.

This movie is still definitely on my "to see" list though. Maybe even today.

I couldn't tell if she was sad, mad, or constipated!!! She did smile a few times so I guess that makes it more than one facial expression... Oh, the motivational speech was weak! In performance and writing...

Still I enjoyed this movie a lot and Stewart didn't ruin it for me.
