Now, to figure out where to put it, set it up, what else I need.

I have directv.

It has been suggested I get a PS3 to use as Blue-Ray Player, etc.

thoughts?

Also need to decide wheterh to mount it, or place on a stand...

Gratz!

That was true a couple of years ago, but not now. There are less expensive options for a Blu-Ray players now than the PS3. However, if you were looking into a gaming system already, the PS3 would bring the bonus of having built-in Blu-Ray.

The nice thing about the PS-3 is that you can also use it for gaming and downloading movies from Netflix instantly.

Congrats on the TV! Keep it away from a window that receives direct sunlight.

When we got ours a few months ago, we decided on the wi-fi blue ray player (we don't do any gaming).

It's great, but the streaming selection from Netflix is very limited :(
