I haven't heard ANYTHING besides he was expecting to receive an offer later monday night. I really would not want to see him go visit another team because our chances of signing him after that would be zilch. I've been remaining patient with the team, but man is this starting to get difficult.

Cardinals front office sucks. Can they not see how bad Brown and Hood are?

They wasted this man's time. They knew he was out of their price range before they invited him here

Bringing him in was just a ploy by the front office to make us think that they were trying.

They referred to his visit as a "meet and greet" and simply wasted the guys time. Has anyone ever heard of a team pulling a stunt like this?

I wouldn't expect too many free agents to fall for this next year. Time is money; If I were a player, I wouldn't even visit Glendale without an offer in the future

Graves brought him in to pacify the natives. He was unprepared to even make an offer.

WTF is wrong with the front office?? You bring in three free agents and make zero offers?? I understand not wanting to overpay for players, but not even making an effort?? Come on, we may be naive but not stupid!

He wants $$, more than he is worth and more than the Steelers are going to offer. That's why they are letting him see what he can get in free agency. If someone wants to overpay, fine.

Plus he wants to start, not be #2, which is what AZ would want.

Thank you TJ

They didn't even give the kid an offer. Don't manipulate players when it comes to their money. This ploy was classless.

He would start with DRC, with Hood moved to nickel. This had nothing to do with it

Two posts on the same subject. My response.

The question I have is: are we even negotiating with him or the other two that were brought in yesterday????
All the board talk and blogs by Urban and Sommers have to do with Warner, Warner, Warner. What about McFadden??? TR I agree with you, why the hell bring them in if your are not really interested???

I'm actually more upset with this than the ongoing crap with Warner.

This organization is still run by a bunch of incompetent boneheads..

We need to all appreciated Coach Whisenhunt and his staff, cause he got this team to the Superbowl despite the cheap and bush league front office presently assembled..

Every other team has guys in to visit, gives them an offer, and most teams that get first visit lock those guys up within a few hours..

Look at the Giants and Jets... they ain't messing around, they got the guys they wanted in there and didn't let the day end without them signing..

Meanwhile, Graves has McFadden come in for a meet and greet, and day later the dude still has no offer... Jordan visits to hang out with Lott, and doesn't even meet the HC..

Just pathetic

The Jets? Seriously? That's who we should emulate?

Well, I guess they did make the Super Bowl 40 years ago. :thumbdown

What does that have to do with any of this??? The Cards knew what he was looking for before they called his agent to set up the visit.

?????????????????? A #2 is a starter.

Just using them as an example because i live in NY. But look at all the teams around the league.. who brings guys in for visits and lets them leave without even extending an offer or meeting the HC?

Identify the players you want, get them in, and don't let them leave until they sign..

The Cardinals and the rest of the league know what kinda deal McFadden is looking for.. if you arent gonna be able to offer anything in the ballpark, don't bring him in... it's a waste of his time and unprofessional

Dude McFadden was wearing an all red polo to his "meet and greet" AN ALL RED POLO!!!!!!!!

He might as well be wearing a name tag that says "Sign Me" on it

I've been following the cards for a few years and I have to agree with you. But it seems that anyone who criticizes the front office gets attacked as somehow disloyal.

Except that your statement makes zero sense as those two situations are entirely different.

If, as some have suggested, SF was simply inviting Kurt to jack up the price for the Cards, then it does make a bit of sense... perhaps not to you.

Except that SF made Warner an offer whereas we did not come at McFadden with anything.

Either way, I can understand why SF would try to get us to spend more on Warner, but what would we get out of making the Steelers spend a bit more on McFadden? Is that our small way of getting back at the man?

I think he was going to see the Pats as well.

Really? I hadn't heard that. If true, you might as well just write him off as a Cardinal. The Pats get it done when they want someone.

I would love to be wrong on that one though.

Graves just said on Doug and Wolf that he will meet with Drew R. (McFadden's agent) hopefully today to start talking contract with McFadden.
