And this guy pulls up to me at a stop light and gestures for me to roll down my window. I do. He then asks me if Im a Cardinals fan? Of course I say yes.

He says "yea I saw your personalized plate and I was like wow! Then I saw the big Helmet in your window and I was shocked there aren't to many of us around you know" I say yes I know. He then tells me he was at the Seattle game and had a great time. I told him I was there too and that I have season tickets. He was like "you do? That is awesome."

Now the convo gets a little sour:

He says "how bout them Diamonbacks?" I say "yea I hope they get their asses kicked Im a cubs fan" at that point he says "I hope you lose then" and gives me this sneering look as the light turns green and we drive away. :D

I thought that was amusing!

Shane is a cub fan? Ugh, add one to ignore list. :)

Yuppers. Was ever since going to ho ho com park growing up in Mesa and watching them play all the time. I was hooked. No way I was jumping on the D backs bandwagon. I already had my allegiance.

Being both a Cub fan and a Card fan, might be too much misery. You might as well add Northwestern and the Clippers.

No I still like the Suns. Cants stand Hockey so Im saved the Coyotes misery at least.

The other day I saw a Cardinal logo on someone's car (I have one as well). I had to do a triple-take to make sure--it was.

There are more of us out there than you realize. And our numbers will grow.

I'm wondering if anyone from this board is from Tucson and was at the Peking Palace picking up a to go order and wearing a cardinal's t-shirt. I thought I was one of a very few, and was surprised to see another cardinal shirt in my neighborhood.

I am really a St. Louis Cardinals fan when it comes to baseball, although I will root for the Dbacks when they aren't playing the Cards. I don't follow baseball much anymore as football is my one true love.

I do know that the Cardinals kick Cub butt every chance they get and twice on Sundays.:D

I'm an Astros fan in particular, and a baseball fan in general. I am hoping the Phillies represent the NL in the WS. I'd like to see the Cleveland Indians in for the AL.

I'd ignore you if I weren't a Lakers fan.

It must be exciting to be able to root for the Dbacks in the playoffs while the St. Louis Cards get a chance to rest and rebuild for next year.:D

Viva Las Vegas!
Last December my wife ran in the LV marathon and I drove the kids around town from one vantage point to another to cheer her on. About 7 o'clock in the morning as we came walking up to one of the viewing areas in North Las Vegas, I saw a guy in a Cardinals jersey sitting on the sidewalk with his back to a residential wall.

So I go up to him with the kids in tow and say, "Hey! Great to see another Cardinal fan out here!", when suddenly I realize that the guy is passed out drunk with a huge river of vomit still oozing down his arm. Apparently some Card fan has tossed out his old Plummer jersey and this poor soul had dumpster dived for it.

My 10 year old son said, "I don't think he wants to talk about the Cards dad."
