A NCAA Tournament round that eluded the program for years, the Alabama Crimson Tide are now back in the Elite Eight for the second consecutive season.

After making a Final Four last season, Alabama will now play for a chance to return there with a win Saturday, as the Crimson Tide have advanced to the Elite Eight following a dominant and record-breaking 113-88 victory Thursday night over the BYU Cougars.

An impressive showing from the Crimson Tide, Alabama was led by a stellar performance from guard Mark Sears, who finished with a combined 34 points on 10-of-16 shooting from three-point range. Alabama also impressed overall from three-point range as a team Thursday night, shooting a combined 25-of-51 (49%) to set a NCAA Tournament record for the most made three-pointers in a game.

Here is a look at what some are saying on social media about Alabama's victory against BYU in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night.

Man, Alabama wa scary impressive tonight. BYU isn't bad. Bama made 'em look bad. Bama-Duke could be a sight to see.

Crazy, but true: If Alabama had not made a single two-point shot against BYU, the Crimson Tide would still have won the game. pic.twitter.com/3dDzSZk9gw
