Make sure you take time out to vote for the Guardian Foundation Repair girls athlete of the week in the Knoxville area for March 10-15.

With the TSSAA girls basketball state tournament wrapping up last weekend, this week's list includes some of Knoxville top players during the four-day tournament that culminated with last Saturday's championship games.

There are also softball players included on this week's poll as spring sports enters its third week.

Here are this week's candidates.

Karina Bystry, McMinn Central: The Miss Basketball finalist had 12 points and five rebounds in McMinn Central's 59-48 loss to Loretto in the TSSAA Class 2A state quarterfinal last Wednesday.

Marlea Finstad, Anderson County: Finstad was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in an 11-4 softball loss to Summit last Wednesday.

Maliyah Glasper, Gatlinburg-Pittman: Glasper had 25 points and nine rebounds in Gatlinburg's 50-36 win over Summertown in the TSSAA Class 2A state quarterfinal last Wednesday. She had 11 points in a 60-45 loss to York Institute in the state semifinal last Friday.

Chloe Heath, Heritage: Heath was named MVP of the TSSAA Class 3A state championship game after scoring 13 points with 16 rebounds in Heritage's 63-43 win over Northview Academy last Saturday. Heath finished with 21 points in Heritage's quarterfinal win over Portland last Wednesday and had nine in Heritage's semifinal win over South Gibson last Friday.

Natayla Hodge, Bearden: Hodge had 21 points in Bearden's 66-39 loss to Bradley Central in the TSSAA Class 4A state semifinal last Friday. She had 19 points in Bearden's quarterfinal win over Whitehaven last Thursday in Murfreesboro.

Kyla Jobe, Greeneville: Jobe had a batting average of .667, going 4-of-6 with two home runs (including a grand slam) with five runs scored and seven RBIs in two wins last week.

Malyiah Smith, Gibbs: Smith was 13-of-15 at the plate in three games last week with nine runs scored, two doubles and three RBIs.

Ze'Yana Stewart, Oak Ridge: Stewart had 15 points and eight rebounds in Oak Ridge's 52-50 loss to Bartlett in the TSSAA Class 4A state quarterfinal game last Wednesday in Murfreesboro.

McKinlee West, Coalfield: West had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 54-52 loss to Van Buren in the TSSAA girls basketball state tournament semifinal of Class 1A last Friday. She had seven points and five rebounds in Coalfield's 54-41 quarterfinal win over Moore County last Thursday.

Jordan White, Northview Academy: White had 19 points in the TSSAA Class 3A state championship loss to Heritage. She added 18 points in her team's 52-51 semifinal win over defending champs Dyersburg last Friday. She had nine points in Northview's quarterfinal win over Jackson South Side last Thursday.
