Mar. 25—ROCHESTER — Soldiers Field Memorial Golf Course is set to open Wednesday, with the remaining three municipal golf courses — Eastwood, Hadley Creek and Northern Hills — expected to open soon as weather and course conditions allow.
"Our goal is to provide the best possible playing conditions for all golfers," Lead Golf Professional Jeff Gorman said in announcing the Soldiers Field opening. "Each course has unique environmental factors, including soil conditions and drainage, that determine when they can safely open for play. We appreciate the patience of our golfers as we work to get all courses ready for the season."
Golfers can purchase season passes for the 2025 golf season on the city 's website at www.rochestermn.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/municipal-golf or in person at any open golf course clubhouse. Season passes offer unlimited play at all Rochester municipal golf courses.
Tee times can be booked online through the city's website or by calling the respective course clubhouses. Golfers are encouraged to reserve their tee times in advance, as early-season demand is expected to be high.
The opening of courses creates an opportunity for young golfers to sign up for First Tee of Rochester , a youth development program teaching life skills and character-building through the game of golf. Registration is open on the city of Rochester website , and programs are available for kids of all skill levels.
