This team needs one biug at in the line-up and health next year and they can make one more real strong run at the title. Javy Lopez would look really good and not break the bank. I think we'll get one more bat this offseason.

Say No to Javy

I don't want him as his defense sucks. Can you imagine the Unit or Curt's reaction when he takes one of his half assed swipes at a ball in the dirt. They'd go bonkers. I want a big outfield bat.

i say do what it takes to bring in vladi. even if we have to pay him top dollar. we've shown we can do it with two dominating pitchers and one good hitter.

in my opinion, our team of the future would stack up like this:

pitching: webb, capuano, and patterson
closer: valverde
hitters: cintron-hillenbrand-vladi

not terribly bad, if you think about it. downright mean, actually. i just wish we had a hot flamethrower to look forward to, who johnson could teach or something. i'm afraid patterson just isn't that dominating.

I agree! In this, the final year of his contract, Raul Mondesi will try to be at his best, both at-bat (if Brenly would assign him one spot in the batting order and leave him there) and in his behavior.

With a big contract next year, we'd see his bad habits!

I'll betcha that Jerry has no intention of re-signing him as a free agent.
