positive news about ASU football recruiting for 2005 A MUST READ UNLESS u DON"T NO H

ASU's new Defensive Coordinator has longtime ties from U of Florida Gators, and U of Miami, Fla. This is a never before seen opportunity for the Devils to have legitimate inroads to the richest recruiting state in the nation!! If he can get 2-3 players this upcoming recruiting season, from HS and/or JC's, it will open the doors to getting a chance for 3-5 Florida student-atletes per year to upgrade our Sundevil team!! the last week of this last signing period, 2 Fla. players our DC had recruited hard had decided on Tennessee, but then agreed to take a trip to ASU because of this Coach.. I don't know if they ever actually visited, but it says alot about his recruiting abilities.. Any of you gentlemen that know about this coordinator, and have ideas about him thereby helping ASU's recruiting, would you please post??Thank you, and Go Cards!!!

"..and in this corner.."

This IS an Arizona sports site, isn't it?  :p are some of you ASU football fans taking the season off getting the thang stroked :p ? The issues I brought up are very important to the future of SunDevil football.. This DC, coach Miller, is supposedly a master recruiter, with deep roots in large parts of Florida!! Just what we've been missing for ever in our program!! We recruit super in California, JC and HS's, Arizona, though coach Stoops will catch us soon, the way he's going[[I AM A THROUGHANDTHROUGH MILDPUSSYS HATER}}, Texas, Colorado, Las Vegas, etc.. But to get a first class inroads to Florida!!! I see multiple pac10 championships and some BCS bowls on the horizon if we can take advantage of this coaches' connections!!!
GO DEVILS, GOOOOOOOOOO!!! GO CARDS!!! :notworthy

Miller does have ties to Florida. I think asu will try to recruit there. Last year, they brought in 2 kids late & they came as a courtesy visit. The one down side is the distance between FL & AZ. Look at D Shaw. The reason he de-commited from U Miami was the 3000 miles between Cali & FL.

I'd say we'd bring in maybe a half dozen guys a year from FL, but maybe get 1 or 2.

Why would any stud player from Florida go to ASU when he could go to Florida, Florida State, or Miami? Or Georgia, Tennesee, or LSU? I could see ASU getting a guy here and there from Florida due to this coach's ties (although the same argument could be made for Mark Stoops at UA), but it will most likely be someone who the Florida schools don't want or a Mike Williams situation where those schools want the recruit to play a position he doesn't want to. It's not an insult towards Koetter, it's just really hard to recruit down there as a Wst Coast school. Ask the Trojans, even they have trouble getting upper-tier Floridians to come across the country.
