My wife and I watch mostly Hallmark movies and TV shows for several years now. We've tried GA's Christmas releases the past two years and felt they barely measured up to the weakest entries in the Hallmark lineup. Didn't seem like they were much competition at all. But then again, even though we love Hallmark, I guess we're not really GA's target audience.

From my limited perspective, I doubt this merger will have much impact on GA's attempt to be viewed as a real player in this market.

The CEO ran my company for several years until he was forced out after bowing down to a far right group about airing an ad with two women kissing.

Since he’s been gone we’ve done a complete 180 and air a bunch of movies with representation and minority leads.

GMA’s biggest star is Candace Cameron Bure. Bigotry wrapped in religion.

Several other Hallmark actors have made the move - Danica McKellar, Jen Lilley, Jessica Lowndes, Trevor Donovan, and Cameron Mathison. Others have no exclusivity and have appeared in movies for both networks - Jesse Metcalfe, Jill Wagner, Chad Michael Murray, Christopher Russell, Merritt Patterson, Cindy Busby, Sarah Lind, and Torrance Coombs.

Neal Bledsoe signed exclusively with GAF, made a film for them, then demanded to be let out of his deal because of some of Bure's comments.
