South African swimmer flirts with world mark in Tokyo heats

Tatjana Schoenmaker of South Africa flirted with the world record in the 200-meter breaststroke preliminaries on Wednesday night in the Olympic pool. There have yet to be any world records set at these Olympics. Schoenmaker, who took silver in the 100 breast, led 16 women into the semifinals.
