We know that during the Matt Leinart training camp (I think) HBO approached Michael Bidwill about playing host to the excellent documentary series Hard Knocks. Michael took the question to Whisenhunt, who put the kibosh on it.

Three years later and the Cards are a team in transition, looking for an identity. They've cast out two of their top defensive playmakers, but have two rising stars in Patrick Peterson and Daryl Washington. They have two media-friendly stars in Darnell Dockett and Larry Fitzgerald. The have a head coach who isn't afraid of the limelight and attention. They may get a quarterback who's been through the Hard Knocks wringer before.

Even better: they have alienated a portion of their already-lukewarm fan base by deciding to abandon their longtime training camp facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Would you support the idea of Hard Knocks: Arizona Cardinals training camp?

I would really like to see that. I have never really watched any of the other Hard Knocks before since there wasn't really any interest, but I would love to see a more in depth look at some of the behind the scenes and training camp.

Yes, of course I'd like to see it.

I don't see it having a large influence on how our season pans out one way or the other.

I'd probably order HBO just for that.. and then fall in love with their trendy shows that everyone goes nuts over and burn out every 4-5 years.

We're not winning the Super Bowl anytime soon with this roster, and it'd be entertaining. Why not? I'm down :)

I'd love to see it, but I don't think it's good for the team. It plays up drama and could ruffle some feathers in unnatural ways. Create problems that otherwise wouldn't be there.

So as a fan, I'd love to see it because I'd watch it. But as a fan thinking of the well being for the team, I don't want it.

I have to vote no, but if they did it, I'd watch every episode.

I'd love it, lets you see a side of the players and coaches that you'd typically never get to see.

I would be fighting for a way to watch it without having cable!

I wouldn't know, because I'm a hard worker and I'd never stream copyrighted material for free.

But I've *heard* that there are a ton of streaming sites that put Hard Knocks up in HD the day after it airs.

rather obnoxious comment, k9.

I am not interested in streaming stolen content. I just dont watch tv beyond the cardinals and hulu/netflix so I dont have services like HBO or the need for them 99% of the time. Would have to watch at a friends DVR or something.

You've never been to a friends house and watched a channel you didn't have at home?

Hell no. It is a distraction. It can cause friction in the locker room and it can even reveal to opposing teams certain elements which they can pick up on (wasn't a snap count or something gathered from one of the hard knocks or something like that of recent)

No. As much as I'd enjoy watching it, it's a distraction to the team. And, like Jetstream, I don't want any other team seeing what we're doing.

Can you imagine Darnell Dockett on Hard Knocks.

It would be too much of a distraction. No thanks.

Larry Fitzgerald behind the scenes would be the most boring TV ever. Squeaky clean character/hard work ethic does not make for good drama.

But I would still watch it religiously.

:D

I've never used someone else's login to watch coach's film, either. :D

I watched all of last season streaming Hard Knocks. My folks have HBO, so I'm gonna see if I can glom on their HBOGo account this year. 99% of the time I'm going to pay for my on-line content (having to wait a year for Game of Thrones or Homeland sucks; I have a backlog of Firewall and Iceberg podcasts on Season 2 of Homeland that I'll catch up on once it's available online), but with Hard Knocks it's kind of time-sensitive, so I catch up the next day. HBO isn't hurting for cash.

As for watching on someone else's TV, I'm pretty sure that the subscription service is location-licensed, not viewer-licensed. No one's in legal trouble.

Now, when I peek over my fence to watch Inside the NFL on their TV? That's maybe a little more questionable. :mulli:

Yeah... I carved out about 90 minutes a week last summer locating a stream and watching Hard Knocks at lunch last year. Good times.
