The 49ers had 5 sacks, 15 pressures, which lead to a pick 6 and forced fumble.
The 49ers can bring it every pass play with just 4 down lineman. When a defense can do that their blitz is almost unstoppable. Good blue print to start a defense.

He still made some impressive throws but he did look really shook last night. Again when a team gets that kind of pressure, with 4 rushers so they have 7 in coverage it's pretty tough and you could see as the game went on, Stafford got more and more unsettled. Their OL was beat down and even the 49ers missing guys on the DL just overwhelmed it.

You have to say the 49ers must have an exceptional coaching staff, when Hufanga was first playing last year he was constantly out of position, just seemed like a guy who had no clue what he was doing. In our first game with them last year we picked on him relentlessly. Now he's a 4 game pro bowler. That seems to happen with their defenders quite often they really coach them up.

Such a weird division the Rams and 49ers have elite defenses if healthy (Rams secondary). And they have the most imaginative offenses but they both have issues. If OBJ comes back he could really help the Rams offense. For the 49ers they need Kittle, he's back but he's only got 6 catches for 52 yards in 2 games just a blocker for the most part.

For us it's get D Hop back, get our OL healthier, and get our CB's back. And it sure would help if Simmons does something

The loss of Whitworth and Corbett were a bigger deal than some were making it out.

The Rams have almost adopted the John Schneider roster building method where they don't use resources on the OL. And then when injuries hit, they are rolling out with third tier players all over their line and that's a recipe for disaster.

The Rams fans I know just don't get that last year's team was their shot. Good on them to get a ring, but they weren't a team built to win for the long haul. Losing Von Miller was a huge blow to their defense, as was losing Darrious Williams as well.

McVay's offense (like Shanahan's) starts with the run.

last year the Rams averaged 4.0 yards a carry. That isnt great, but it does keep you on schedule.

this year through 4 games? 3.3 yards a carry.

the Cardinal running game this year i like to complain about? 4.1 yards

I wonder what that is like with Murray's running out of it.
Kyler has averaged 3.8 -- so the backs are doing ok

it does need to be pointed out that with all the time the Cards have spent trailing: defenses were happy to concede rushing yards in the second half of games --

that being said: both Eno and Darrell Williams are averaging more than 5 yards a carry. Connor is at 3.2.

Raise your hand if you had Geno Smith as the best QB in the division thru 4 games.
No way do I think he's the best QB, no matter the numbers. Will say he's doing better than I expected, but it's still early in the season. B/t/w, who would you rather have, Geno or Cooper Rush? And I know that Rush is in the East.
