Every player is hurt.

He was averaging under 4 YPC last season. This is who he is.
He usually always converts the short yardage when we need it, something we are usually terrible at otherwise.

His receiving abilitiy is a threat that seems to never get mentioned, not sure why. Made so many clutch plays last year, and a few this year.

Because he hasn’t been much of a receiving threat this year. A lot of people justified his dumb contract this off-season by saying he’d get like 600 receiving yards this year.

Lol.

I mean the entire offense has been mostly bad.

The loss of Whitworth and Corbett were a bigger deal than some were making it out.

The Rams have almost adopted the John Schneider roster building method where they don't use resources on the OL. And then when injuries hit, they are rolling out with third tier players all over their line and that's a recipe for disaster.

The Rams fans I know just don't get that last year's team was their shot. Good on them to get a ring, but they weren't a team built to win for the long haul. Losing Von Miller was a huge blow to their defense, as was losing Darrious Williams as well.
Except they’ve won an average of 11 games for the last 5 years and reached the super bowl twice during that span. So it’s not like they were built to be a one hit wonder.

McVay's offense (like Shanahan's) starts with the run.

last year the Rams averaged 4.0 yards a carry. That isnt great, but it does keep you on schedule.

this year through 4 games? 3.3 yards a carry.

the Cardinal running game this year i like to complain about? 4.1 yards
The problem is the run hasn’t been used much, or that effective, early in games. It’s been much better later in games when teams are laying back whilst we are feverishly trying to scratch back into games. That’s why stats alone are often poor indicators.

11 wins doesn't equal an actual Super Bowl contender though.

Last year was their best shot and they made it.

They made the SB twice. How can you make the SB and not be a SB contender?

Murray's only averaging 3.8 YPC, so it'd actually improve the number. He Conner are the reasons the Cards are averaging under 4 YPC.

Conner is deeply washed.
I don’t think Conner is washed. I think while in AZ he was always an excellent power/catching complimentary back who our front office has miscast as a top rb bc he had 18 touchdowns.

Me either. Connor isn't washed, he just isn't the best fit for this offense right now. He will still get you the tough yards that you need. I think they should lean on him more.

This isn't AJ Green we are talking about.

i think we all see now that a burst-ier, slippery back early like Edmonds, coupled with a grind it out, bludgeon-you Connor late was a good combo.

Keim is paid millions to see that ahead of time.

Those years between Super Bowl appearances they were not legit Super Bowl contenders.
