Many felt they didn't deserve a bid and they're already down big to Louisville and look completely intimidated by the press.

41-16??

Louisville's good.. I have them as one of my Final Four teams, but no way in HELL are they this good. This reminds me of a 1-16 game, not a 6-11 one.

There was a big article today in my paper about both Lopez twins possibly going pro, not just Brook. After this half they may want to reconsider, Padgett and Caracter are killing them.

Stanford's guard play has been up and down all year but it's been awful today, that pressure defense is killing them.

Agreed. I had questions as to how ready for the Pro game they were, this game solidified that.

What an embarassing half, their best player was Kenny Brown, who's a walkon. Totally agree with CBS too Stanford just backed down to Louisville not tough enough.

I will say this, the committee went out of their way to make it tough on Stanford having to play in Lexington, and the game starting at 9:30 in the morning California time.

But still no excuse for this total embarassment.

not sure what to make of Trent Johnson, so far I'm not impressed with him as a coach, but he doesn't have enough guard play and that's because it's so hard to recruit at Stanford.

Agreed, I think Texas A&M takes them out next round, but then I had Stanford winning today so what the hell do I know.

What a rout, the way Robin Lopez walked off the court when he fouled out I would be stunned if he left for the NBA now.

Brook has had a good 2nd half but the game was already over.

I got Louisville beating A&M next. They looked solid today. Granted, Stanford did nothing to help themselves, but Louisville's been hot and the end of the season and it carried in to this morning's game.

A&M-Louisville should be a heck of a game.

Could happen, Louisville looks like a different team today, been awhile since I've seen them.

I love A&M, Acie Law is the best guard UCLA faced all year, and they really defend.

Very impressive game by Louisville though, nice to see Padgett playing so well his career has been destroyed by knee and foot problems.

Yeah, Stanford may have kept WVU out of the tourney. That was a smart choice

I can agree with that. If Louisville can't contain Law, they'll get smoked.

Yep, that was a hell of a game. 72-69 A&M. Sosa was tremendous for Louisville, but his two missed free throws, after hitting 15 in a row, really hurt them.

The PAC-10 has 3 teams in the Sweet 16, which is more than the 16-team Big East.

The PAC-10 has nothing to be embarrassed about.

No, the Pac-10 has shown they are the deepest conference this year. Yes, Stanford had no business in the tourney (and if Stanford had not been selected, WVU would not have been the replacement).

Why wouldnt they? They are the #1 seed in the NIT.

NIT seeding means nothing - Miss State was a 1 seed as well, they weren't even considered a bubble team

the NIT is a money maker and WVU has a good sized arena and fan base - why not get two games in their gym?

The PAC and the SEC are clearly, in my mind, the two best conferences this year, based on tournament results so far. The rest of the major conferences are about equal. Big 12 looked good early but crumbled.

I was actually joking...I agree, the seeding in the NIT means nothing and they draw a good fan base.

I am just disappointed they didnt get in with a 22-9 record in the Big East conference. :(

Too many conference tourney upsets!
