None of what you just posted actually can be defined as evidence. Blake Bortles was actually better than Gabbert immediately with a similar cast.

Utter hogwash
2013 Gabbert played 3 games ... so let's compare his 2012 with Bortles 2014
Games..Games
..................................Started..W/L....Cmp....Att....Cmp%..TD...TD%..Int Int%
Gabbert.2012.....10.........10......1/9......162....278...58.3......9....3.2.....6.....2.2
Bortles..2014......14.........13......3/10....280....475...58.9.....11...2.3....17.....3.6

What a remarkable difference.... why, Bortles must be the second coming to outdo Gabbert by that much (please note the INTs)

In 2014, everything else STILL sucked and Bortles did NO better than Gabbert... then they started changing MANAGEMENT and getting DECENT players and the difference widened... to say Bortles came in and clearly outdid him is pure lazy prejudice... and total rot to boot ... and there is the evidence, not some lazy prejudicial poppycock (I want to see if they mess with that word)

Looks like Bortles won three times as many games. People forget that Gabbert is also incredibly brittle. Three games!

If I cared that much what you say, I'd check who they were playing then.
I don't.
3 TIMES THE NUMBER OF GAMES !!! WOW !!
he won effing 3 games, with 4 more starts... he also had THREE TIMES the number of INTS !!! THREE TIMES !!! WOW !!

You simply hate him with no justification whatever, a not uncommon occurrence with Card fans (jesus, look at who those in AZ elect to office)...
the only deserved hatred and loathing right now is Arians (not so much for himself, but for his blind loyalty to his inept cabal of never-will-be's) and Keim (churns players by the hundreds to find the cream and then calls them all stupid, If I was on this team, with these leaders, I'd F>>K off as fast as I could)
... everyone else deserves a mulligan (although there is a lot of deadwood to just jettison, e.g. Badger)

YOU have no idea what Gabbert will do, neither do I. At least most people on here want to SEE what he can/cannot do, they are not declaring him useless based on their own precious stat love.

Are people really getting up in arms over... Blaine Gabbert?

2015's 13-3 season feels like a decade ago.

No way. Rice is the best football player ever. Dude did everything... caught over the middle, went deep, ran away from everyone with "bad" speed and blocked.

But Larry's an all-time great, without a doubt.

I say its debatable. Rice didn't ever have the jump ball ability Fitzgerald had, and could not block at a level any where near Fitzgerald.

Its a tough argument, tho. Rice is the best player of all time even without those two abilities.

There’s literally no evidence that this is true. In fact, nearly all the evidence points to the opposite conclusion.

Gabbert passing percentage 56.0
Stanton 52.5

Rating Gabbert 71.5
Stanton 66.7

Those are two of the biggest stats that shows evidence that Gabbert could be in the conversation vs. Stanton or even better.

much like the NBA argument...
Jerry Rice also played when the opposing team was actually allowed to play defense..

there is a stronger argument that Prime Time was the best overall player of all time...even though he rarely tackled

YPA belies that completion percentage stat.

I’m not sure the statistical difference is enough to be meaningful, or make up
For the fact that Gabbert has been in the offense for just a few months.

Impossible. Since Patrick Peterson is not even in the top 1/2 of the league right now, because Peterson obviously cannot tackle at all, or anything, and that is, without a doubt, a fact. That means Deion Sanders cannot possibly be one of the best football players ever, let alone his Hall of Fame inclusion is horribly wrong.

Its all about the tackling at that position.

Maybe that is what this offense needs. To be dumbed down, overhauled because it hasn't been clicking since the NFC Championship run.

Exactly, the offensive genius needs to change the offense to fit the talent we have. Good coaches adapt and change to be successful, not just try to run his system ala Whiz when you don’t have the personnel to run it! That’s my biggest issue with BA right now just terrible playcalling at odd times. For god sakes but Gabbert in who is pretty accurate and run some damn screens with Ellington and Peterson, some quick hitting passing game to back the damn defenses off! BA constantly running into a stacked box with a mediocre Oline is just stupid, yet he keeps doing it!

Pretty big complaint of mine too.

Look at what HC Mike Zimmer and OC Pat Shurmer of the Vikings are doing with Case Keenam. Each game that have a set of new, easy wrinkles for Keenam, like 2 bootleg play action passes in the red zone yesterday, back to back for an easy wide open TD pass, when their 3rd stringer TE faked blocking down and then turned and ran an out route. And Gabbert is more mobile and athletic than Keenam.

Why do the Cardinals have 4 quarterbacks. Josh Weinfuss just tweeted that Gabbert, Barkley and Bercovici went through warmups today while Stanton threw on the side. I realize that Bercovici is on the practice squad but it still seems strange. Are the Cardinals planning to cut Barkley as soon as Stanton heals?
