With Dave Filoni's Star Wars movie expected to be released in the coming years, the story's ending may already have been revealed back in 2017, by Star Wars Rebels. It is no secret that Filoni is bringing his characters and stories set up in Star Wars Rebels into the New Republic era, despite both projects being separated by the original Star Wars trilogy. As such, Filoni's movie is going to feature plenty of elements from the animated show, chief among them being Star Wars' Grand Admiral Thrawn as the film's primary antagonist. With the characters of Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and other players of the New Republic era in Star Wars facing off against Thrawn, the battle between the forces of good and evil will come to a head in Filoni's movie. Despite all the build-up, the ending of Star Wars' Mandalorian-era movie may actually have been revealed in 2017 by Star Wars Rebels itself.
