Whatever they can do to lengthen the life of the stadium is a good idea. Not sure this helps or how much, but I like the effort at least. I don’t really have too much sympathy for the 50 yardliners. A little, but not too much. Our seats were upper deck in the corner at SFS and I survived.

this is a league wide thing -- the only diff between the 32 franchises is the specifics of how they cater to high end ticket buyers (note I didnt use the word "fans" there)

and across the league -- you end up with a far higher % of people going to games that are of the fair weather type --

If I am correct these being called premium seating mean Michael doesn't have to share that money with the rest of the league through revenue sharing.

it will get rid of some visiting fans cuz a lot of scalpers own seats on that sideline

Another revenue stream

Negative it will displace some cards fans that were on that side as well.


I spoke to a former Cardinals exec and he mentioned moves like this come from pressure of other owners when the Cardinals and other teams are amongst the bottom in ticket revenue for the rev share.
