This is how I "see" teams...

Championship caliber...

Up-n-coming...

Showing cracks...

Clearly on the way down...

Bottomed-out...(ie; Fuhhh-get about it!)

(Feel free to add your own, uh, "observations" on this) :)

Look, I know there's a lot of concern on here about whether we'll "fall back"next season. (ie; personnel defections; coaching changes, etc.)

I choose rather to see "opportunity"...a team that most definitely can and will get BETTER.
So, I firmly place our Cardinals in the up-n-coming category and I can certainly live with that.

...And let's not forget that after the disaster at KC in mid-season, most "experts" said the patriots were dead and buried....looks like now they were just playin' possum with us in the New England S*N*O*W.

So, here's to a great off-season, my Cardinal friends.

RELAX....ENJOY!

MARK IN SUNNY SC :)

BASK! BASK! BASK!!!!!!!

A Mark-ism..

I am totally with you on this old pal. I had more darned fun these past two seasons, (that is until the bubble popped after we lost both Palmer and Stanton). The season end in 2014 was hard to take, but in seeing the success by way of awards that our coaching staff and Executives are getting, I can't help but be bouyed up for this off season, and watching the Front Office and Staff going back to work on fixing what didn't work last year.

I can forsee a genuine push to get our LB corps to the talent level that Bettcher needs in order to do his thing. I can also see some help coming by way of strengthening our O-line. Anything else would be icing on the cake to my way of thinking ie. RB, CB, WR, DL etc. Additional TE help might go towards help for the OL.

The Cards have their best off-the-field personnel since they moved to Arizona. However, knowing their internal leadership, the Seahawks likely came out of that Super Bowl super motivated.

The Cards will need a super off-season and a few breaks to get by them, but the Cards are certainly in the conversation. Keep the faith.

The last two years have been good, in part, because Keim has found older, last minute guys to come in and contribute-- to the point of being some of the teams better players.

To me-- this is like a college program that makes up for some poor recruiting by bringing in JC guys. It can work -- but it's hard to build longer term continuity.

In some ways, Keim has offset some bad draft results (Cooper, Minter, etc) with older vets and some good later round finds ( Badger, Brown, Ellington, Stinson).

It sure would be nice for Cooper to show he is at least a better than average guard who can stay healthy. For Nicklas to show he can seal an edge in the running game and be a reliable outlet receiver. For Minter to be a solid LB in the rotation. Kareem Martin be consistent instead of flashes.
