We are less than a month from the 2025 NFL draft and we don't have a clear picture of what the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to do in the first round. The Steelers have several clear positions of need, and as we ran multiple mock draft simulations, we saw a fair distribution of those positions being selected in the first round. Using the Pro Football Focus mock draft simulator, here are the most selected players for the Steelers in the first round.

1 - QB Shedeur Sanders - Colorado

Sanders has been the front-runner for the Steelers in the first round in mock drafts but we don't see him falling that far.

2 - RB Omarion Hampton - North Carolina

A real possibility here as the league typically undervalues running backs.

3 - CB Will Johnson - Michigan

He may be the best cornerback in the entire draft, so it might be wishful thinking that he falls this far.

4 - QB Cam Ward - Miami

This one really shocked us because there is zero chance Ward will make it out of the top three picks.

5 - DT Kenneth Grant - Michigan

At one point, Grant was the top choice but his offseason has pushed him up and makes him more of a longshot.

6 - CB Jahdae Barron - Texas

Barron is another popular pick but we don't like the idea of spending a first-round pick on what is a very good slot cornerback.
