DK Metcalf said all the right things in his introductory press conference on Thursday, including his not wanting to be a problem for veteran Pittsburgh Steelers star George Pickens.

Here's what Metcalf had to say when asked what the dynamic will be with multiple receivers who want the ball and how he sees that working with Pickens.

Yes, football is the ultimate team game first off, so you shouldn't be on a team if everybody doesn't want the football. I will say that. Just to come into this organization, just to know George [Pickens] from the little conversations that we had in passing, great player, watching from afar. The receiver coach calls him "freak show," and I think that's a fitting name for him with the circus catches that he makes. But I'm just here to try to instill any wisdom or any knowledge that he allows me to, and vice versa. I feel like there's some things that I can learn from him that he does.

Since entering the league as the Seattle Seahawks 2nd round pick of the 2019 NFL draft, Metcalf has worked with "great receivers" like Tyler Lockett, Freddie Swain, and Josh Gordon.

I've been around some very talented receivers to where I knew how to take a backseat and learn from guys like that. I'm willing todo the same if the case may be that here.

It's the honeymoon period right now. Players won't come together in an official capacity until May's organized team activities (OTAs). Even then, things won't really come to a head until Pickens and Metcalf take the field for the regular season in September.

Maybe the duo will surprise everyone and not complain... Yeah, who are we kidding?
