Four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs believes he can produce at a high level for the New England Patriots in the 2025 season. He stated his case at his introductory press conference with reporters.
“I’m really looking forward to putting my best foot in front of me," said Diggs. "Even towards last year, I was at like 47 receptions and 450 or something like that, close to 500 yards. So that's halfway through the season.
"I would’ve been on pace to have another 1,000-yard season and 100 catches if I didn’t get banged up. So, if you're doing the math right, I'm going to be productive.”
Diggs recorded 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns last season before going down with a torn ACL. He was on pace for his seventh straight 1,000-yard receiving season.
Now, he is looking to start a new chapter with a Patriots team that desperately needed a true No. 1 receiving target. Finding that go-to weapon has been scarce in New England, where players like Randy Moss, Brandin Cooks and Julian Edelman have filled that role in recent memory.
A healthy Diggs could provide a major lift to the Patriots' offense. At the very least, he will open up the passing attack in ways the team could have only dreamed last season.
