Four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs spoke briefly on the comparisons between New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Diggs, who signed a three-year deal with the Patriots, spent four years catching passes from Allen. He didn't compare the two quarterbacks from a skill perspective, but instead, he talked about hearing that both players had similar personalities.
"I'm excited. I really look forward to [meeting Maye]," said Diggs. "It's crazy, because when you ask around, he has a lot of similarities, where people say, through the grapevine, he acts a lot like Josh. And that was my guy. So I look forward to meeting him."
There have been plenty of comparisons of Maye and Allen both on and off the field. One thing is certain: The Patriots would love to see Maye's talent ceiling reach the same level as Allen, a former NFL MVP.
Adding Diggs to the mix at receiver could be the Patriots' first step at turning that dream into a reality.
