I can't imagine giving up a pro bowl CB and a second for unproven QB who could not beat out a player who had not played for over a year in Philly.

Would have much rather went after Orton for less of a price. It may work out but I am sure glad I gave up my season tickets. Philly must be laughing there ass off.

LF asks and he gets.

I hope that works both ways, cause I'm asking for a ton of TD's to justify all this out of Larry, A TON.

Didn't Whiz also believe in DA and Max Hall?

I don't he truely believed in those guys. Wiz traded a very good player, a high draft pick for his future!!! This either makes or breaks this regime...bottom line!!!

So, he was a liar, or at the very least, a great exaggerater?

Nope I think by all accounts he didn't truly believe in any of the QBs on roster. That's why all the reports of a late interest in Bulger but the uppers denied him.

Then I think he hoped that Matt would work and he would ride him. But then Matt again was unprepared and acted lime a childish crybaby going behind his back to the media.

So he went with all he had left. That doesnt necessarily mean he was confident in them or he believed in them... More of he had no choice.

Of course he said the right things. What would you expect him to say especially in the beginning. His lips got more lose regarding DA as the year got deeper.

Not sure about Whiz's level of "belief", but, I'm pretty certain this had more to do with Fitz's level of "belief", which, should lead to the long-term deal for Fitz... ;)

Some have speculated here that Whiz was told to wait until the CBA was settled to sign a QB to a big contract. Who knows, but they signed Anderson for 3.25M guaranteed, avoided Leinart's escalator, and now both are gone with Kolb taking over. Doesn't answer the question of why we couldn't have just cut Leinart later, but I guess if he was out, he was out.
