Knicks get: Nash, Lee, PHX '13 first rd pick
Knicks give: Amare, Fields
Warriors get: Amare, Fields, Lopez, Bibby
Warriors give: Curry, Lee
Suns get: Curry
Suns give: Nash, Lopez, '13 1st rd pick
Knicks haven't used Amare much since getting 'Melo and I simply don't think Melo & Amare is a good combo. So they get rid of Amare and his risky contract for a productive PF who has prior experience playing in D'Antoni's system. They also solve all their PG problems with the great Steve Nash there. And then they get a good draft pick to get themselves a PG for when Nash retires.
Curry has been dealing with ankle injuries for a while now and GSW's medical staff doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. He also looks lost in Mark Jackson's system which calls for defense...come Lopez and Fields two good defenders (if RoLo returns to form) They also get a superstar post scoring threat they haven't had in a while in Amare to pair with Ellis. Bibby is the short term answer at PG but they can pick up a better one in the upcoming FA or draft.
For Phoenix, we finally get a PG suitable of taking over for Nash. Curry's probably just as good or very close to Nash in terms of shooting but has work to do in the passing game which will eventually develop. Kid has the potential to be something very special in the NBA. We sent Nash to a contender and his favorite coach in NY. Now if we can get Gordon, Love or Dwight to pair with Curry, we're done with rebuilding.
