All the rumors turned out to be true regarding former Notre Dame quarterback Steve Angeli and the Syracuse Orange.

On Wednesday afternoon, through his social media account, the New Jersey native decided to make it official and announced his transfer to the ACC program. Viewed as one of the top players in the spring portal window, Angeli goes to an offense that isn’t afraid to throw it around.

This past season saw another transfer, Kyle McCord, lead the nation in multiple passing categories, including yards and attempts. It’s a stark contrast from Notre Dame’s offense, who mainly relied on a run game that set up the pass. It’s the other way around at Syracuse, and it will showcase Angeli’s passing abilities.

Even though he now has left the program, it won’t be the last time he’s in South Bend as a player, as the Orange will be the Irish’s opponent on Senior Day. It will be very interesting what kind of ovation Angeli gets, but if I had to guess, it’s a warm one.
