HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets targeted Stephen Curry as the weak link in the Warriors’ defense in Game 1 of the teams’ Western Conference Finals series. The Warriors knew it was coming. Curry, a two-time MVP, plays among some of the top defenders in the NBA, including Draymond Green, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Kevin Durant. So it’s not surprising the Rockets went after him, especially considering he’s acknowledged he’s not at 100 percent after sustaining a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee on March 23. Curry handled the attack well — the Rockets only made 45 percent of their shots against him. On the game, they shot 45.9 percent from the field.
