I wouldn't be surprised if Wilts was falling on the sword for his OC.

And if he's not, God help us.

Gold help us anyway.
Considering he said after his hiring his philosophy is ground & pound I take him at his word. It’s maddening when you can’t run well & you keep doing it. The Thesmel game plan doesn’t win big in today’s NFL...it’s a dinosaur offense you have Cam Newton

In his defense, THESMEL simply wants balance...use the run to protect the qb and open up the passing game...not necessarily ground and pound. At least that's what I've interpreted from his posts.

Here's what Kotter said after the Bucs loss today... Fire everybody including me!

Based on that game today, we couldn't make enough changes," Koetter said after the Buccaneers' 48-10 loss to the Chicago Bears. "We should fire every person that was on that field today, starting with me. That was horrific.".

Imo is still about effectiveness as well because you can’t just keep running it into a pile of 8 bodies for 2 yards & a cloud of dust 40 times!

4 games in a row now that defenses are stacking the box to stop #31 not scared of the passes downfield. Rosen will probably change that, but aggressive play calling helps that too.

This Oline & TEs have stunk opening holes to run. I still say you pass to set up the run this day & age to win consistently.

I really think this is not McCoy. It's all making sense it's Wilks. I've watched a lot of McCoy and this is not how he operates.

What are you on about? This is exactly how he operates. All his games in SD should tell you all you need to know and it appears he hasn’t/cannot change. He’s beyond useless

Hence the caveat of "somewhat" but yeah I know what you mean. Still it wasn't terrible and there were some bad calls that one flip up in the air was a legit pick.
The overturn was a good call. The ball hit the ground before it was secured. Sucks but it was the right call.

It sounds like Josh Rosen stands by his coaches play calling.

4 games in and nearly the entire fan base wants Wilks and McCoy gone, hoefully MB can step in and make an executive decision, they made a giant mistake by hiring Wilks.

BTW this confirms that the three straight runs up the middle was Wilks call not McCoy. Wolfley said as much in his post game.

Takes some of the heat off McCoy. Wilks does not comprehend the theory of delegation.

WOAH HEY!!! This is all uncalled for.

I'd like to call a timeout on this thread, especially as I have 3 timeouts remaining, but instead I will preserve those in-case we go to overtime.

They do carry over, right?

Well we are the only winless team in the NFL so we have that going for us.

Another thought, 4 weeks into the season and the 17 points yesterday was a season high. Let that sink in for a minute. This offense hasn't been able to get to 20 yet.

Hey, I thought we have scored 37 points. Oh, wait, you mean 20 in one game, not four games?:(

Until it doesn't. How much did special teams cost us in the end?

I loved Arians and enjoyed what he did for this team. By the end, it was absolutely time for him to go.
Was talking about offensive play calling. Arians stubbornness on protecting his coaches is what caused some of the fans to sour on his at the end

Another point to ponder. The Cardinals have scored 37 points in four games. Yesterday 7 teams scored 37 or more points in the game they played yesterday. That's right 7 teams have scored 37 or more points in just one game yesterday. At the present rate the Cardinals will have accumulated 148 for the entire season. Currently the Cardinals are scoring at a rate of 9.25 PPG. Five teams have scored less PPG with Tampa Bay having been on the list twice. Below is the year and the record that year and their PPG.

1 1977 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-12-0 7.4
2 1974 Atlanta Falcons 3-11-0 7.9
3 1992 Seattle Seahawks 2-14-0 8.8
4 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-14-0 8.9
4 1991 Indianapolis Colts 1-15-0 8.9
