Mar. 13—ST. PAUL — Stewartville saw its season end Thursday in the consolation semifinals of the Class 3A girls basketball tournament at Gangelhoff Center.
The Tigers were knocked out 70-60 by No. 4 seed DeLaSalle. The Islanders overcame a slight halftime deficit to do it, 26-24.
Audrey Schindelar paced Stewartville with 22 points. The star junior guard hit 9 of 18 field-goal attempts, including going 2-for-4 on 3-pointers. Danika Schindelar added 17 points for the Tigers, the freshman hitting 6 of 13 field-goal tries.
Stewartville had trouble rebounding, outdone there 30-21.
Aneisha Scott led DeLaSalle with 26 points. Anaya Shaffa had 18.
Stewartville, the No. 8 seed, ended its season 21-10 overall. DeLaSalle is 25-6.
