I've brought this up before and was roundly criticized. Breaston has shown nothing in the 1st two games. He's tentative and goes down at 1st contact. I'm sorry but he's not the answer. We still need a kick returner.

Waaaah. No negative threads until Tuesday. We just won bro, enjoy!!!!

Just solidifies my theory that many people are Cardinal fans because they enjoy negativity in their lives.

Considering he had 2 punt returns, one for 16 yards and another for 17 yards to go along with only 1 kickoff return of which he made a mistake and ran it out from 6 yards deep in the end zone. Sorry but this is way premature especially when for the most part had a pretty good day minus one rookie mistake where he should have taken a touchback.

We just won, no crying allowed. Who cares anyway how great he is. The guy was a 5th rounder. We have drafted worse.

Unfortunately for some people, he's going to have to meet the Devin Hester level of returner expectations. If he doesn't return it 30 yards every time then there is something wrong with him

Keep in mind folks he is a rookie and some of his return ability relies on our ST blocking (which over the years has been awful)

Opps! Sorry. I thought we wanted to win for the rest of the year, not just once. Tell me that each and every one of you wasn't fearing a big return from Seattle at some point in the game? Were you thinking Breaston would break the game open for us?

I like the quote but it was actually. "How 'bout a nice warm glass of ..., check the name tag Granny. You're in my world now."

You are right. I had a friend who said nice cold glass. Either way it amounts to the same thing.

There is no need to complain about our mediocre (but in no way disasterous) KR game right now.

Wait till Monday.

Even the coach lets the players enjoy a win for awhile so they know how its feels before getting back on the grind.. You didnt even wait an hour to post this thread..

Breaston is a fan favorite, he doesn't need to produce so....can we go back to our regular bashing of Edge and Fitz pls?

No. Nate is completely overrated. I didn't think he'd break anything. He doesn't understand north/south running and only runs east/west. Running 60 yards to gain 15 doesn't worry me.

Were you thinking Breaston would break the game open for us?

Yes, because he DOES understand how to run North/South. Even if he takes the side angles, he is always looking for the crease to move upfield.

He had two good punt returns today, and a rookie mistake of trying to do too much.

16 and 1/2 yards per punt return; about 10 yards per punt better return than last year.

Beleive it or not -- if Breaston averages 16.5 a return for the year, it will rank in the upper third of the league

Its like complaining about a RB that "only" averages 4 yards a carry. Sure you would like 5 yards a carry -- but you can win with 4

We can live with a mistake or two as long as it doesn't cost us a game. It seems every time we make a mistake, we lose.
Finally we get to learn from a couple of mistakes without paying the ultimate price.

It was 10.4 yards avg return last year. Right now he is around 6.8 in two games but I really believe he is going to get better. He has already improved quite a bit in the second game.
