that's it.

Nothing else needs to be said. Every coach knows it. Every player knows it. Every fan knows it.

Every team goes through this. Unexplicable performances resulting in a loss to a an inferior team. Remember when the Eagles lost to Oakland?

To dwell on this would be stupid. We didn't suddenly become a bad team overnight. Let's get back to work and focus on the Lions.

To start throwing individual players under the bus would be wrong. Those same players got us to this point. Give the 49er's credit for a well played game on their part.

Keep your chins up guys. All is not lost. This team will bounce back!

You are right and I, for one, will be doing so as soon as the sting wears off.

I just don't know why we always have our worst games in the spotlight.

We didn't suddenly become a bad team overnight.

Last night had nothing to do with how good your team is.

Basics: You cannot turn the ball over. Sometimes it is easier said than done, sometimes it is just chance/luck, and sometimes the ball just ain't bouncing your way.

The Cardinals had all of the above, when it comes to turnovers last night. The more they pushed, the more they turned the ball over, the more they turned the ball over, the harder they pushed.

Just look at the game.

Fumble to start a drive ---> Result is a 3 yard TD by SF

Have a decent drive, and a good pass to LSH, fumble ----> easy FG for SF

Again, came back, drove down the field to the 30, everything looking good, INT, stops AT LEAST 3 pts.

And it goes on, everytime the Cardinals started to get a drive going, or any momentum there was a penalty to kill the drive or a turnover to stop everthing in its tracks, and more times than not, just give the Niners points on a silver platter.

I didn't see where the defense just broke down and lost the game on a big play.

I didn't see where the offense was not moving the ball, when it wasn't turning the ball over.

Just gotta eat the humble pie, deal with the upset stomach, and keep going.

I would not want to be the Lions this week.

The effort was definitely there last night and THAT is encouraging. The biggest disappointment to me beyond the obvious of SEVEN turnovers, was the way the SF front 7 owned the Cardinals offensive line. That simply cannot happen.

Mike Sando has saying for the last two years, that the Cardinals are going to be limited by their offensive tackles and center. We saw it in the Super Bowl last year. We saw it in the Colts game. And we see it from time to time against other teams. Any time the opponent can get pressure with FOUR (or even THREE last night), Warner and the offense are going to struggle. IMO, offensive left tackle should be a priority in the upcoming offseason.

When you play as bad as they did on MNF all you can do is put it behind you and erase it from memory. Embarassing loss!

Well they have bounced back so far. After both the Colts and Panthers games. But this is getting to be a disturbing habit with these guys. Blowing up after a big win. The continuing problems with our "2 minute" defense concern me as well.

Agreed they played like "SHI*", hey we got a 2 game lead, win out it's over! We have never matched up that great vs 9ers. Singletary like him or not he has done a good job.

How do we not ever match up that great against the 49ers when we've won as many as we've lost over the last 7 years? Like I said before even our horrible 2003 team beat them and we'd won 6 of the last 8 going into this season.

The 4 and 9ers have turned into the Texas Aggies of the NFL. As long as they beat the Cards they're happy. Nevermind that they go 5-9 against everybody else and are nothing but longshots to ever win a title.

Always remember, no matter how bad the Cards have been, since the NFL merger, we have never, ever, been so bad that we had the first pick in the NFL draft.

The fumbles have to stop by the RB's. I hope they at least take that from the game. If they are in traffic the RB's should not allow the D to get a clean shot on the ball.

I respect every team in the NFL, and the Lions cannot be taken lightly and I doubt the Cardinals will. Give credit to the Niners for being able to pull out a game we handed to them, I know that sounds strange but we have seen before when a team is giving it away and the opposing team does not capitalize enough. And by all means, let's move on...bad game but lets have a division winning season and the playoffs. I remember after the Titan game how sick I was and then the Viking game erased all of it...this is the way this team of ours gets through the season

Most teams have a stinker game. Look at Green Bay, they lost to Tamp Bay for Tampa's only win to date.

As the culture and direction of this team has changed so has the ability to see the flaws.
In the dark ages the putrid smell of embarrasment would be masked as the team stumbled through the swamps of failure.
Now that a HUGE collective effort has been made to drive out of the abyss and onto the highway of success this team needs to realize that you cant pull off the road, drop trow, and leave a steaming corn backed rattler lying there without the world noticing.
Suddenly the Lions and Rams of the world are looking out of those same swamps and saying HMM! We couldnt have put a bigger target on our back if we tried.
For me it will take another run DEEP into the playoffs to get away from that smell!
