Think the Kings would take Eisley, Jacobsen, and the rights to Vujanic?

Well I was thinking marion, but they wouldnt trade Peja to a team in the same division, plus marion does a lot of things that peja doesnt. If they were up for it though, it would definetly be something to think about.

We aren't talking about Shaq here.

If that was the argument. Why would the Suns trade Marion to a team in the same division?

It will be hard to trade him since he only makes 6.7mil.

Would the Suns do Marion and Cabarkapa (and Vujanic, why not) for Stojakovic and Miller? I'm guessing the Kings would decline, unless they can't get a better offer and the situation starts to get ugly. But would "we" go for such a deal?

I don't think Phoenix would have any chance. The Kings don't have $4m in garbage on their roster, unless you're talking about Chris Webber's contract.

I could see the Kings accepting Marion and Joe J for Peja/Doug Christie, but I don't think the Suns would make that offer. Maybe if the Kings were desperate, they'd trade Peja/Ostertag for Marion/Voskuhl in 60 days.

The natural trade is SAC/Indy--Peja for Ron Artest and a small filler contract like Fred Jones. I'm sure Webber thinks he would love to play with Artest.

Marion for Peja and Ostertag works once Ostertag can be traded. Although the Kings aren't exactly the deepest team anymore.

Kings get
Shawn Marion
Chicago first round pick

Suns get
Peja Stojakovic
Bobby Jackson

We have no use for Bobby Jackson but he makes the salaries match so a third team that sends a center to Phoenix for Bobby Jackson would make sense. Unfortunately

I read somehwere that apparently Webber is pulling a Kobe and is handpicking who he wants on the team next year. Supposedly Peja, Vlade, and Christie were on his list of guys he wanted gone. Someone needs to remind Webber that he is in fact Chris Webber, an injury prone, undersized power forward who is scared to come in the lane and who inevitably chokes every postseason, and that he has about as much right to handpick a team as Vince Carter.

Marion, Joe Johnson, Erick Dampier to Sacramento
Brad Miller and Peja Stojakovic to Phoenix
Christie and Chicagos pick to Golden State

That should work under the cap and is not totally unfair for any team in my opinion. And if anything I think we are giving up too much and should replace Johnson with Jacobsen and Voshkul.

I agree that the Suns are giving up too much. And I am opposed to any trade that gives up Voskuhl while getting only one center back, even if that center is a much better player.

You gotta admit that even if we gave up too much with Marion, Johnson and a likely top 10 lottery pick we would have an awesome first 6.

C- Miller, midrange game, high post passing
PF- Amare , post scorer
SF- Peja, shooter , spaces the floor
SG- Q , slasher, scorer, garbage man
PG- Nash, passing, shooting
6th- Barbosa

That lineup would be like a dream for Amare.

I know I am nitpicking, but Chris Webber is not undersized... not by a longshot.

Eric, Peja & Brad Miller for Shawn Marion & Cabarkapa? I can't believe you even wrote that. As someone else said, Sacramento probably wouldn't even trade Brad Miller alone for Shawn Marion.

Honestly guys, it would probably take Shawn Marion and Cabarkapa or maybe even the draft pick just to get Peja (I know this doesn't work as far as money goes). Peja was a legitimate MVP candidate before Chris Webber returned.

No use for Bobby Jackson? That's crazy. Bobby Jackson is a freak, and would help any team. I don't care if adding him puts 12 guards on PHX's roster.

Yeah, you're right. It's just doesn't really play that big though compared to other PFs.

That trade is pretty far-fetched. People around here seriously overrate the value of Cabarkapa.

Peja would be the perfect match for Amare. He supposedly has improved his defense a lot lately. I think the Kings will get a lot more than Marion and Zarko, particularly since he is underpaid, legitimate all-star.

If I was the GM of Sacramento I would rather look for ways to trade Webber (though his contract is not that attractive and he is injury prone)

Webber is not really the core of the Kings anymore; that title belongs to Bibby, Peja and Miller

The team looked clearly worked better before Webber came back

Webber really is impossible to trade.

There is just no way any team will trade for him. Not even Isiah Thomas.

Close to the trading deadline, I think Thomas would trade Hardaway and K.Thomas for Webber in an heartbeat.

I was thinking the same thing.

Isiah'd probably go for Penny/Webber part 2.

Come on, Joe Mama, cut me some slack. In the original post, I said it was very unlikely that Sacramento would go for it. The question I was interested in was whether it would appeal to the Suns.

Most people would say that Peja is a little better than Marion but even if you call them even then you're basically suggesting an additional trade of Zarko for Miller.

An All Star center for a backup SF that averaged 11 minutes, 4 points and shot 41%?

Not to mention a wapping 2 rebounds.

I didnt say that they would. It would definetly be something to consider though. The warriors apparently dont want to trade damp to a team in the west, so it's not like this stuff doesnt matter.
